Gaudeamus is now on OJS! For submissions, check our new website

While announcing the publication of the winter issue of Gaudeamus 4 (2024), we also wish to highlight the following update:

Gaudeamus started as a peer-reviewed online journal where young researchers could publish their work in Anglophone Studies, and we would like to continue offering this safe space while improving the quality of the journal.

From March 2024, Gaudeamus has begun using Open Journal Systems (OJS) as its new submission system. Following the editorial team’s efforts these years, articles already published in the journal (including in previous years) are now searchable in our OJS space. This change is fantastic news for young researchers, for the journal will briefly improve its impact and indexing, and its manuscripts will gain more visibility in the search engines of global libraries

The website to access it is https://reunido.uniovi.es/index.php/GAUDEAMUS/index.

Also, we will soon announce the CFP for volume no. 5, so stay tuned for more news! Since OJS is now the official system for submitting articles to our journal, please consider sending your manuscripts for publication on the website once the CFP is open: https://reunido.uniovi.es/index.php/GAUDEAMUS/about/submissions. Manuscripts sent through other channels (e.g., via e-mail) will not be considered for evaluation.

Before submitting their manuscripts, authors should read the Gaudeamus author guidelines and ensure they comply with the submission checklist.

If in doubt, please get in touch with us at gaudeamusasyras@gmail.com

Warm regards and heartfelt thanks to all the authors, reviewers, and collaborators who have made this achievement possible.

II Research Workshop in English Studies POSTPONED

Dear ASYRAS members,

Given the current situation caused by the COVID-19 outbreak in Spain, we have decided to postpone our II Research Workshop in English Studies, which was going to take place in May in Oviedo.
If everything goes well, we will be able to meet you all in Oviedo in September, once the situation is hopefully under control. The new programme, together with a new deadline to register and send your proposals, will be published once the new date has been confirmed. Thank you for your understanding. Please, keep posted for further information.
The Organising Committee

COVID-19 outbreak

Dear members,

This is a message from the Executive Board of ASYRAS for you to stay calm and do your best in this moment of unrest. We know the last days have been difficult for the academic community, with several universities closing their doors due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

We just want to let you know that ASYRAS will keep working and that we will still be here for you. We do not know what the situation will be in May for our Workshop in Oviedo, but preparations will not stop and we will let you know of any information we get in this respect.

The CFP for our journal, GAUDEAMUS, is of course still open, and the reviewing process will continue as planned afterwards.

We encourage you to follow all measures suggested by both sanitary and academic authorities, and to make use of this time to keep working, reading and researching.

Best wishes,

The Executive Board of ASYRAS
