10th Anniversary – Research Workshop in English Studies: Skills, Challenges and New Horizons

On the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the Association of Young Researchers on Anglophone Studies (ASYRAS), the executive board of the Association has decided to organize a formative workshop for senior students of the Degree in English Studies, postgrad students, doctoral students and young researchers in English Studies. The workshop will be held on May 25-26, 2018 at the Sede Universitaria de la Ciudad de Alicante and various national and international lecturers have been invited to talk about the implementation of research tools in the domain of English Philology, from a linguistic and literary perspective.

This event is intended to be particularly useful for students who are at an early stage of their research career. The workshops constitute a discussion forum in which experienced researchers will share their strategies and tools such as the elaboration of a research project, the outline of an academic oral presentation, the implementation of a bibliographical search, the search and application for undergrad and postgrad funding as well as the understanding of more technical information on accrediting systems and platforms in Spain or publication’s quality indexes. There will also be an open session in which students can bring their research concerns, and lecturers will assist them in fulfilling their goals.

You can see our provisional programme and further information here.

A certificate of attendance (10h.) will be provided to participants in the event. Registration for the event is available in this form.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Alicante!
